ABOUT ME
ABOUT ME
I am a documentary photographer and filmmaker from Durban, South Africa. My work is driven by telling stories that have a significant social impact in South Africa. I work with NPOs that use sport as a medium for social empowerment and integration.
In 2020 I graduated with an Honours Degree in Multimedia Storytelling at Rhodes University School of Journalism. I worked on many projects outside of university that motivated me to pursue multimedia storytelling focusing on video as medium of choice.
In, 2019 I released my first documentary, ‘Skate Ubuntu: Road to P.E ’, which featured on SABC, Session Magazine and was premiered at an independent exhibition of mixed mediums, NO IDEAS, at Rhodes University School of Fine Art.
Since then I have worked as a graphic designer, photographer, video editor and as a lab technician at a photographic film lab which shaped my love for different mediums of art.
In 2025 I decided to leave my job as a film lab technician and pursue my passion for documentary film-making and photography.
I am currently working on three projects: ‘Fun’ a photographic conversation about the regression of public spaces for the youth in South Africa. ‘Half Gatsby’ a playful photographic project about the nuances of public spaces in Cape Town. The third is a documentary film, ‘To Be A Badger’ about Badgers Football Academy, a women’s football club in the heart of Cape Town, South Africa.
